He begins to look down on the Go-Backs's, who feel a sense of complaisant comfort in the Palace of The High-Ones. He would have the power of the palace all to himself, and unlock the mystery of both Time & Space. However, Sun Top's spirit contacts him, and it becomes clear that suntop rivals Rayek in spiritual endowment.
